Schedule One Offences
Any of the offences listed in Schedule One of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 (below) will prevent an individual from working with Children and Young People.
Individuals convicted of a Schedule One offence will be automatically placed on the new Independent Safeguarding Authority barred lists and will be legally prevented from working in schools and other education settings. The ISA vetting and barring scheme replaces the previous Pova and Poca lists and the List 99.
Individuals cautioned, as well as convicted, for sexual offences against children will also automatically be entered on the ISA barred list.
Read about the recruitment of non-Schedule One offenders.
